June Update

Summer has arrived, and with it comes another update from the road to iPRES 2026. Over the past month, we’ve reached several exciting milestones, published new information for delegates, and continued shaping what promises to be an engaging and inspiring conference. Whether you’re already registered or still planning your trip, here’s a look at what’s new this month.

Explore the Accepted Submissions

One of the biggest milestones on the road to iPRES 2026 has now been reached: the list of accepted peer-reviewed submissions is now available.

The accepted submissions showcase the breadth and diversity of the global digital preservation community, featuring research, practical case studies, innovative tools, and collaborative initiatives from around the world. While the detailed conference schedule is still being developed, you can already explore the accepted submissions and get a first glimpse of the exciting programme taking shape.

Planning a Greener iPRES

Sustainability is a key priority for iPRES 2026. Together with our venues and partners, we are working to reduce the conference’s environmental footprint through initiatives such as climate-conscious catering, Green Key-certified venues, and encouraging delegates to walk, cycle, and use public transport whenever possible.

We’re also pleased to be part of CopenPay, Wonderful Copenhagen’s initiative that rewards sustainable actions. During the conference, delegates are invited to join a morning plogging event – combining a walk or run with litter collection – followed by complimentary coffee and a traditional Danish pastry. It’s a fun way to experience Copenhagen while contributing to a cleaner city.

Food, Coffee and Conversation

The best conference conversations often continue over lunch. We’ve now published details about catering during iPRES 2026, including coffee breaks, receptions, and lunches throughout the conference.

Lunch from Tuesday to Thursday will be served family-style in the restaurant at CPH Conference, creating a relaxed setting for networking and discussion. As Monday’s workshops take place before the main conference begins, lunch is not included that day. Instead, we’ll provide a guide to cafés and restaurants within walking distance of the venue, making it easy to explore Copenhagen while grabbing a bite to eat.

Workshops and Tutorials Opening Soon

Planning for the workshop and tutorial programme is well underway, and registration will open soon. Delegates will be able to reserve places at a wide range of hands-on workshops and in-depth tutorials covering topics from across the digital preservation landscape. We’ll announce the opening of registration through our website and communication channels, so stay tuned.
