Getting around in Copenhagen

From its award-winning airport to its highly effective public transportation systems, Copenhagen offers delegates punctual and easy access.

Move by Metro

The Copenhagen Metro (M1-M4) covers all of Copenhagen with a high frequency 24/7. In 2019, the M3 ‘Circle Line’ opened with 17 new stations in the city centre and in 2020, the M4 opened connecting the rest of the city with two new stations in the neighbourhood of Nordhavn.

Visit the metro website for more information about the metro lines and various ticket options.

Due to maintance a metro line will sometimes shut down for a few hours, ususally at night. Updates about both the current status and planned changes can also be found on the metro website.

Trains have routes through all of Copenhagen’s neighbourhoods, to the airport and across the country. Excursions within and beyond the city to the rest of Denmark, or to the Swedish city of Malmö, are easily accessible from the Central Station.

Walk and Wander
