Summer is in full swing, and iPRES 2026 is getting closer every day. As the conference programme continues to take shape, it’s almost time for delegates to begin planning their own iPRES experience – from workshops and tutorials to professional visits and new ways to stay connected throughout the week. Here’s what’s new this month.

Workshops and Tutorials – Registration now open!

Our Workshops and Tutorials Committee has been hard at work reviewing an outstanding selection of submissions, and we’re excited about the programme taking shape. Monday’s workshops and tutorials will offer a wide range of opportunities to learn, collaborate, and exchange ideas with colleagues from around the world.

If you are not yet registered you can choose workshops and tutorials when you register. As spaces for some sessions may be limited, we encourage everyone to sign up early.

First Look at the Draft Programme

The first draft of the iPRES 2026 conference programme is now published. While adjustments may still be made, the draft programme will give delegates their first opportunity to explore the week’s sessions, keynote presentations, and events – and start planning their conference experience. Please note that for some sessions, presentations will be added within the next 14 days.

Discover Our Professional Visits

The Professional Visits programme continues to grow and offers delegates a unique opportunity to experience digital preservation in practice. Visit archives, libraries, museums, and other organisations across Copenhagen, or join one of our virtual visits if you are unable to participate on site.

While registration for Professional Visits will open a little later, you can already explore the growing programme and discover the many opportunities available during conference week.

Tune in to iPRES Radio

Whether you’re joining us in Copenhagen or following iPRES 2026 from elsewhere in the world, iPRES Radio offers another way to stay connected throughout the conference.

Hosted by the Digital Preservation Coalition and running alongside the conference from 22–25 September, iPRES Radio will feature conference highlights, conversations with attendees and speakers, behind-the-scenes insights, and discussions with colleagues from across the global digital preservation community. Best of all, everyone is welcome—no conference registration is required.
