Call to Community: Help Shape iPRES 2026 in Copenhagen
We warmly invite members of the global digital preservation community to help shape iPRES 2026, in Copenhagen, Denmark, 21–25 September 2026.
The Call to Community is your opportunity to contribute your ideas, experience, and enthusiasm to the planning and delivery of iPRES 2026. By volunteering on a committee, you will help create a conference that is engaging, inclusive, accessible, and meaningful for participants around the world.

Committees You Can Join
Programme Committee, including reviewing
Curates and organises the conference programme or is a reviewer of submissions. The Programme Committee ensures content aligns with the conference themes:
The themes for iPRES 2026 are: Community, Preservation, and Horizon. CPH is the international acronym for the city of Copenhagen. The themes encourage reflections on the evolving practices, innovations and collaborations shaping the future of digital preservation.

Attendee Experience Committee
Supports a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging experience for all attendees, whether participating in person or virtually. The committee focuses on accessibility, sustainability, and cultural values.
Communications Team
Creates and reviews conference communications and website content, supports translation, promotes iPRES 2026 through global networks, and helps develop social media content.
Professional Visits Committee
Plans visits to local organisations of interest to the digital preservation community, primarily in person and potentially virtually. Open to participants from across the global iPRES community.
Hybrid Committee
Designs and supports a high-quality hybrid conference experience, ensuring meaningful participation for both in-person and virtual attendees. The committee advises on session formats, technology, accessibility, and supports speakers and volunteers.
How to Volunteer
If you are interested in joining one of the iPRES 2026 committees, please complete the volunteer application form by:

Submitting the form does not guarantee placement on a committee, but all expressions of interest are welcomed and carefully considered.
Code of Conduct
All members of the iPRES community are expected to follow both the spirit and the letter of the iPRES Code of Conduct. This helps ensure a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and productive environment for everyone, whether participating in person, online, or in a hybrid format.
The Code of Conduct applies to all iPRES-related meetings, events, working groups, social activities, online communication channels (including social media), and all pre-conference and planning activities.
